What's On

The 24th Deane DLO Taunton 10K

Sunday, 26 September 2010, 11:00

From the Start in the road outside Blackbrook Pavilion the gently undulating circular course heads through the residential Holway area of Taunton before following country roads through the picturesque village of Stoke St Mary and then into narrow lanes passing the Golf Driving Range and the hamlet of Haydon before crossing the M5 and returning to the Finish inside the Pavilion grounds.

Roads outside the Pavilion will be closed to allow a safe start, but the majority of the course is on roads open to traffic. Runners must keep to the left hand side of the road except where directed by course officials. There will be traffic control in place between the 6k and 7k points.

There will be a water station positioned near the halfway point. St John Ambulance will provide First Aid cover to Level 2 (Standard “2 star”).

Closing date for entries is Friday 17 September.

There is a maximum limit of 650 entries. For the last four years this has been reached before the official closing date, and quite a few people have been disappointed.

Racepacks, with numbers and joining instructions, will be issued two weeks before the event
