Geography Student is Project Taunton Winner

Project Taunton recently presented David Pywell from The Castle School, Taunton with a Waterstones voucher following his visit to the Open Day earlier this month.

Voucher1 David, who is in Year 7, came along to the Project Taunton Open Day with a number of fellow students from the school who are studying Project Taunton as part of their geography studies.

Ian Franklin, Project Director of Project Taunton, who presented the £25 voucher, said: "David is a worthy winner, he and his fellow students have taken a lot of interest in Project Taunton as part of their geography studies. They have an impressive insight into regeneration issues and came to the Open Day armed with a whole range of questions, from transport issues to wider environmental considerations."

Talking about Project Taunton, David Pywell said: "Project Taunton is very important because the decisions taken now will shape the Taunton in which I grow up and will live in.

He continued: "We need to look forwards and try and guess what the world will be like, and what we will want/need in perhaps 10 years time and plan for it."
