Septemberfest – Taunton’s New Celebration of Events in September

To celebrate the fantastic array of events happening in the town next month, Taunton Cultural Partnership has set up the new Septemberfest. The aim is to promote the wide range of activities and entertainments taking place and to encourage people to get involved and have fun.

Posters are being displayed, flyers distributed and the new website, www.septemberfest.co.uk, has details of all the events.

Taunton Cultural Partnership involves a number of organisations in the town who come together to promote cultural events and activities. The Partnership’s long term vision focuses on the concept of a thriving ‘Cultural Quarter’ in Taunton, resulting from the town’s large scale regeneration.  Septemberfest has come about as a joint effort between Project Taunton, The Brewhouse Theatre & Arts Centre, Somerset County Cricket Club and Taunton Town Centre Company.

Spokesperson for the Taunton Cultural Partnership, Robbie Lowes of Project Taunton, said: “Taunton has so many exciting things going on during September we thought it was time to let people know and encourage them to take part, so Septemberfest was created.  This is just the beginning and we’re delighted with the response so far – we hope to grow the number of events in future years and establish it as a firm favourite in everyone’s diaries.”
