Project Taunton Team Grows

A new face has recently joined Project Taunton - the team responsible for the town's regeneration. Hayley Bell has been recruited to the position of Office Manager. She has lived in Taunton for three years having previously worked in London as Customer Relations Manager for The Institute of Directors.

hayley35 year old Hayley is enthusiastic about her new role in which her main responsibilities are to manage the budget, the office and the team. She is also looking forward to being a part of the town's regeneration. She explains:

"I think the regeneration of Taunton is very exciting and much needed. There are lots of changes taking place in and around the town and it's great to be a part of it.

She continues: "The disused livestock market will be demolished shortly providing the town with a unique opportunity for a superior large scale office development and Somerset County Cricket Club Conference Centre is currently undergoing major refurbishment which when finished will provide excellent business facilities to hire. By the end of November the area running from the back of the Cricket Ground to the Brewhouse Theatre, Somerset Square, will be completed and will really improve the look of the riverside. Work on the Third Way Road connecting Wellington Road to Wood Street, is also about to start.

"These works are the start of major changes happening in Taunton over the next few years which will make way for more homes, less traffic congestion and new shops, bars and restaurants in the town. All this takes time to achieve but by 2020 I really do believe we will live in the best town in the South West."

Ian Franklin, Project Director at Project Taunton said: "It's fantastic to have Hayley on board. She's a valuable addition to the team and her enthusiasm and professionalism are great assets. Taunton's regeneration will really begin to take shape over the coming months and Hayley will play an important part in the town's future."
