Taunton's Arts Centres

Taunton’s cultural scene benefits from two theatres and arts centres. The Brewhouse Theatre & Arts Centre is situated in the heart of the Cultural Quarter, whilst the Tacchi Morris Arts Centre, celebrating its 10^th anniversary in December 2009, provides a complementary drama, dance and music programme on the outskirts of the town.

In addition, The SPACE, located alongside the Tacchi Morris Arts Centre provides a world class educational facility for 16-19 year olds.

Project Taunton has invested in the Brewhouse in the belief that its success is vital to the town’s future. An architectural scoping study, May 2009, undertaken by Yeovil based ADP and reflecting the Arts Service feasibility report, January 2008, will ensure the theatre’s preparedness for funding applications.
