Cultural Quarter

Taunton’s Cultural Quarter, located along the south bank of the River Tone in the town centre will, with proposed improvements to most elements, provide the community and visitors with a superb environment for leisure activities.

Extending from Priory Bridge and including Somerset County Cricket Ground, the Cultural Quarter links the Firepool commercial development to Tangier. It includes Somerset Square, the Brewhouse Theatre & Arts Centre, Coal Orchard and, the riverside walkways through Goodland Gardens to the historic Castle Green.
