Work Starts on High Street Phase 2

The RG Spiller team are moving from Goodland Gardens to the High Street where they will begin Phase 2 of the landscaping works on Monday 30 January.
Following the Homes and Community Agency’s (HCA) decision to grant Project Taunton £250,000 towards the project, our architects Reed Holland Associates set about selecting a contractor to begin work. There’s a crucial condition associated with this grant – the work has to be delivered and paid for by 31 March 2012. No pressure!
We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused as a result of the works - in all honesty there will be some. Our promise to you is that we'll do all in our power to give you plenty of notice of works and disruption which may affect businesses, outdoor cafes etc. And, we can reassure you that access to all businesses will be maintained throughout (even if the route is temporarily altered a little). The 'virtual' red route for emergency vehicles will also be maintained for the duration of the works and beyond.
You may be wondering what will happen to Taunton's excellent Thursday farmer's market - don't worry, your favourite stall holders will be there as usual.
