Goodland Gardens Access Arrangements
Wednesday, 09 November 2011 15:09
Despite the recent wet weather the R G Spiller team is beavering away (good description for a riverside location, don't you think?) on site and are making headway with the ramped access from the Tone Bridge on Bridge Street down into the gardens and towards the Mill Stream.
You may also have noticed that pedestrian access around the perimeter is not now available. The construction team were advised by Taunton Deane's Health and Safety officer that the area should be wholly surrounded by safety fencing. We've found a temporary solution which we can maintain until the Castle Green construction team start work at the rear of the Museum.
Directions: follow the public right of way through Debenham's goods entrance (facing the front of the store, the entrance is to the left). When you exit the rear of the yard you should take the route through the open double iron gates into the grassy area behind the Museum.
I'll keep you informed of any changes to these arrangements.
