Castle Green
The Castle Green regeneration project is due for completion in summer 2012. The re-landscaping will set the scene for relaxation and major events whilst the landmark glass footbridge across the moat will provide a prominent link to Goodland Gardens and the River Tone.
Start on Site
The Britannia Construction team are on site preparing the area for work to start. It’s been a long haul and not without its critics but we feel strongly that Castle Green should be restored to its former glory as Taunton’s principle civic space. It is surrounded by listed buildings and is a scheduled ancient monument encompassing part of the outer bailey of Taunton's medieval castle and the burial ground associated with the Anglo Saxon Minster.
