Students help shape Castle Green's future
 Pupils from Taunton secondary schools recently attended a Project Taunton meeting where they were able to present their ideas for the future of the Castle Green area of Taunton to landscape architects LDA Design of Exeter. Aged between 12 and 15 years, the students are all Project Taunton Young Champions, a programme which aims to get young people from the community involved with the town’s regeneration.
As part of the improvements to the County Museum, the surrounding Castle Green area will be transformed from a car park to a new town square where people of all age groups can relax, eat out and meet friends.

Breakfast for Builders
Construction firms are being invited to a business breakfast on 12 September. Being hosted by Project Taunton with the Genesis Centre at Somerset College, the event is aimed at small and medium sized companies and will inform them of the regeneration plans for Taunton over the coming years. Importantly it will let attendees know about forthcoming opportunities for construction related businesses and provide details of how to get involved in the town centre regeneration and other local projects.
