Taunton Flood Defences Ready to Protect the Town

Thursday 6 November saw the official completion of Longrun Farm flood protection scheme for Taunton town centre, enabling Project Taunton to continue with the town’s regeneration.

Project Taunton Extends Successful Young Champions Scheme - New Intake to Include College Students

The Project Taunton Young Champions Programme, which launched in February, has proved so successful that it is now being extended to include sixth form students.

High Profile Visitors to Project Taunton’s Cultural Quarter

Gerry Sutcliffe, Minister for Sport, and Roy Clare, Chief Executive, Museums, Libraries and Archives (MLA) visited Taunton in the last two months to find out how the town is improving its cultural offering, including arts, sport and theatre facilities.

Taunton Secures Growth Point Funding

Taunton has been awarded funding totalling £7.9 million to help support essential infrastructure in the town and enable it to deal with future housing development.
