Somerset Collegeis the premier provider of further and higher education, and skills training for students aged from 14 years to degree level in the county.

Close ties with the University of Plymouth allow the College to offer degree courses to students, whilst state-of-the-art facilities mean the College has all the necessary equipment and support students need to reach their full potential.

Recent award winning students have included Hilary Wells and Victoria Griffiths who won a Gold Medal at EuroSkills in 2008 and Carpentry and Joinery student Karl Green who won the 2009 regional SkillBuild competition.

Somerset College’s Business Centre offers high quality facilities to businesses across the South West. This includes a wide range of training solutions including short courses, one day workshops and distance learning; Taunton Conference Centre with modern state-of-the-art facilities; the Hot House which offers support and advice for new businesses so they can thrive in the marketplace; and The Genesis Centre which provides a fully sustainable resource and learning facility.
