Project Taunton is one of Taunton Deane Borough Council's four corporate priorities. Taunton Deane Borough Council is committed to the delivery of the regeneration programme and has provided significant areas of land for development such as the Firepool site. The Project has the assurance that the funding generated from the sale of this council-owned land will be fed back into the project.

Project Taunton is the realisation of years of work and dedication by both officers and members of Taunton Deane Borough Council and the other partner agencies. The local authority has a number of aspirations for its local community, which Project Taunton is set to deliver. Fundamentally, it will lead to new commercial and employment opportunities for the Taunton Deane community and will help the Council to address areas of deprivation, which exist in the Borough. It will also allow Taunton to make its mark on the regional scene. Taunton is already a great place to be and Project Taunton will make it better.
