Transport and car parking

A Parking study, carried out by Parsons Brinckerhoff, has provided us with the information we need, to plan very carefully for car park closures and during all phases of the development we will endeavour to minimise disruption.

A significant factor is managing the closures, and primarily for commuters, the proposed extension to the town's Silk Mills park and ride facilities and the new park and ride at Junction 25 of the M5 (due for completion at the end of 2009), will help relieve congestion in the town centre, making parking for shoppers and visitors, in the immediate town centre area, much easier.
